What Klipkop Sets Out To Achieve

1. To preserve endangered bankenveld vegetation
2. To provide a sanctuary for wildlife, focusing on overlooked species including buck and birds, and
3. To educate and encourage active interest in conservation issues which affect South Africa and many other parts of the world.

Why 'The Buck Stops Here'

Everybody's heard the expression 'The Buck Stops Here', but it means something special to us. We've adopted it as our slogan because it reflects our attitude, our frame of mind, as much as our objectives.

Yes, we do have many varieties of buck in our reserve, so the phrase truly fits. However, it is ultimately about taking responsibility for our environment - for the bankenveld at our feet, and the countless species that bankenveld sustains.

We are so very fortunate to find ourselves living in an ecologically valuable place. We will do our utmost to protect it.
