You simply won't be able to spend enough time in South Africa to see and do everything that there is on offer.
Many volunteers elect to travel once their volunteer stint in complete. It's a really good idea.
You're in Africa afterall, why not make the most of it?!
Not all volunteers necessarily have the time or resources for an extended stay, so we feel it
only right to give volunteers the weekends off, and one long weekend, to visit as many places as they
can. And there is plenty going on within a few hours of Klipkop. Here are just some ideas:

- Birding at Mariesvale, Wakkerstroom, Magaliesberg .. many places
- Sterkfontein Caves / Cradle of Humankind

- Pretoria National Botancial Gardens
- Johannesburg and Soweto (organised tours)
- Road-side art & craft stalls, plus other markets
- Market Theatre (live shows)
- Gold Reef City
- Montecasino
